Spicy Masala Peanuts

- 1 cup unsalted peanuts with skin
- 4 tbsp gram flour
- 4 tsp rice flour
- 3 tsp red chili powder
- ½ tsp chat masala
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- Cooking Oil
- Salt
- Take a large bowl, and add gram flour, rice flour, red chili powder, chat masala and salt as per taste.Mix them all well.
- Wet the peanuts with water thoroughly and drain it off. Now add lemon juice and mix it well.
- Now coat the peanuts well with masala.
- Take a microwave safe bowl and grease the bottom with 1 tbsp oil.
- Now transfer some peanuts to the bowl. Place the peanuts as a single layer and do not place them on top of one another.
- Add 1 tsp oil on top of peanuts and place the bowl in microwave.
- a) Power level: 900W b) Timer set to: 1 minute.
- Stir in the peanuts after 1 min, and place them back in microwave for 2 mins.
- a) Power level: 900W b) Timer set to: 2 minute.
- Allow these peanuts to cool down after 2 mins. As they cool down they become crunchier.
- Culinary uses of masala peanuts:It can be used in Dabeli, Sev Pav, Dry bhel.It can be used as a savoury snack with evening tea.
