Singhade Ke Aate Ka Halwa (Water Chestnut flour Halwa)

Ingredients
  • 125 gms =3/4th cup Singhade ka Aata (Water Chestnut Flour)
  • 190 ml=3/4th cup Milk
  • 190 ml =3/4th cup Water
  • 125 gms =1/2 cup Sugar
  • 8-10 Cashewnuts
  • 8-10 Almonds (Slice Cashew Nuts and Almonds into lengths)
  • 8-10 Raisins
  • Ghee
  • ½ tsp. Cardamom Powder
Instructions
  1. Heat 2-3 tbsp. Ghee in a pan. Add Slivers of Almonds and Cashewnuts and fry until golden brown.
  2. Add Raisins and fry until it puffs up.
  3. Now add the flour to ghee and roast on low heat. It takes approx. 7-8 mins on low heat for Flour to turn brown in color.
  4. Add mixture of milk and water (must be lukewarm) and mix well. Milk and water must get absorbed completely.
  5. Ensure there are no lumps.
  6. As milk and water gets absorbed, add sugar and mix well. Allow sugar to melt completely. This gives a glaze to the Halwa.
  7. Finally add fried nuts, raisins and cardamom powder. Mix well and switch off the heat.
  8. Delicious Singhade Ke Aate Ka Halwa is ready
