Singhade Ke Aate Ka Halwa (Water Chestnut flour Halwa)

- 125 gms =3/4th cup Singhade ka Aata (Water Chestnut Flour)
- 190 ml=3/4th cup Milk
- 190 ml =3/4th cup Water
- 125 gms =1/2 cup Sugar
- 8-10 Cashewnuts
- 8-10 Almonds (Slice Cashew Nuts and Almonds into lengths)
- 8-10 Raisins
- Ghee
- ½ tsp. Cardamom Powder
- Heat 2-3 tbsp. Ghee in a pan. Add Slivers of Almonds and Cashewnuts and fry until golden brown.
- Add Raisins and fry until it puffs up.
- Now add the flour to ghee and roast on low heat. It takes approx. 7-8 mins on low heat for Flour to turn brown in color.
- Add mixture of milk and water (must be lukewarm) and mix well. Milk and water must get absorbed completely.
- Ensure there are no lumps.
- As milk and water gets absorbed, add sugar and mix well. Allow sugar to melt completely. This gives a glaze to the Halwa.
- Finally add fried nuts, raisins and cardamom powder. Mix well and switch off the heat.
- Delicious Singhade Ke Aate Ka Halwa is ready
