Mangalorean Masala Fish Fry

Ingredients
  • 400 grams Indian mackerel (Bangda/Bangude)
  • 2 and ½ tsp rice flour
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 2 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • salt to taste
  • Coconut oil to fry the fish
Instructions
  1. Let's start with masala.In a bowl, take rice flour, turmeric powder.red chili powder, salt and vinegar.Mix all the ingredients.
  2. Let's apply the masala on mackerel fish.
  3. We will keep the masala coated fish in refrigerator (not in freezer compartment) for an hour.
  4. After an hour, heat 2 tbsp coconut oil in a pan.Place the fish in a pan and fry on low flame.
  5. Underside gets cooked in about 4 minutes.Flip over to cook from other side.Fish should be cooked brown and crisp from both sides.
  6. Take the cooked fish out from the pan.
  7. Delicious Mangalorean Fish Fry is ready to be served
